My King

Lord Jesus You are my King,

To You I bring everything.

You have given me new breath,

And saved me from early death.

Lord Jesus You are my King,

You make my heart want to sing.

I want to do more than just survive,

Because You are the author of my story and in you I thrive.

Lord Jesus You are my King,

With you I lack nothing,

You balance my emotions and heal,

You have retaught my heart how to feel.

Lord Jesus You are my King,

I can hear the Easter bells ring.

They remind us that You continue to persist,

God, please help our hearts not to resist.

Lord Jesus You are our King,

As the world unfolds into spring.

For everything here on earth,

Declares to us Your worth.

Lord Jesus You are our eternal King,

And everything here is so fleeting.

Though we try to our best to retain control,

In the end, You are the only One to comfort our soul.

Lord, help us believe it.
