God, thank you for my life,

And thank you for my story.

And on that day you call me home,

May it have brought you glory.

You have been so good to me,

Despite my doubts and fears.

You awakened me and gave me new joy,

That was missing all those years.

You used hard times in my life,

Causing me to stop and see.

How You gave me gifts and a new voice,

And You had a plan for me!

You revealed what I had buried deep,

And allowed me to see my sin.

The protections I had put in place,

Hidden deep within.

You opened my eyes to the world around,

And the Holy Spirit’s power.

The breadth of God’s control,

And the comfort of Jesus every hour.

You taught me how to pray,

For those hurting, sick, and lost.

You helped equate holiness with joy,

And not to count the cost.

I am so thankful that You woke me up,

And healed my flat-lined soul.

Revealed a new view for my life,

So that I finally feel whole.

Thank you, Jesus, for your healing,

For in You I am free.

You have given me eternal breath,

Let me use it to praise You for all eternity.
